Congratulations to Caleb & Presley for beginning this new journey together! I have known the beautiful bride since high school. I always thought she was such a doll, and I am so happy that she found someone equally as sweet in Caleb - someone who laughs with her and you can tell is absolutely crazy about her! I wish these two only the best as they begin their lives together! Now a little about their special day....
After all that weird weather we've been having lately - cold, rain (you know - welcome to Southern Illinois) - we finally got a GORGEOUS spring day! A beautiful day for such a sweet couple! My second shooter, Kris, and I arrived at St. Clements Catholic Church in McLeansboro to photograph detail shots and the girls getting ready before everyone relocated to Dahlgren for the ceremony. While the girls were having lunch and visiting with family and friends, we started taking detail shots to document this very special day. Everything was beautiful from the gorgeous rings to the delicate lace on her dress! Eeek I love my job!! :)
I love that she incorporated her faith into her bouquet - such a cute idea - and especially the she wore her grandma's pearls! What a wonderful and sentimental "something old/borrowed" to incorporate! :)
After the girls were dressed, I took them outside to get a few pictures of Presley and her bridesmaids. These ladies were so much fun and so easy going. We laughed A LOT - what a great way to start out this special afternoon! :)
After bridesmaid portraits, we all headed to the old Catholic schoolhouse in Dahlgren. Presley and the girls hid out in the reception hall so her groom-to-be would not see her before the ceremony. While the girls were hanging out, I began to document the boys getting ready and took some pictures of Caleb and his groomsmen.
I also photographed the beautiful bride around the wedding venue! I just loved the old door to the school- it made the perfect background for some lovely bridal portraits!!
After individual and family portraits were done, it was time to tuck the bride away from the arriving guests until the ceremony began at 6:30.
After a sweet bubble exit celebrating the newlyweds, we went out behind the church to take pictures of the entire wedding party. And then we went back to the front of the schoolhouse (did I mention I loved that door lol!?).
We ended our portrait session with some of the bride and groom together - it is after all what this is all about! I'll be honest - I was a little nervous about these shots. I am a natural light photographer, and by the time we got to this part of the day there was literally no light. Presley had told me previously that this wouldn't be an issue - she just wanted some shots of them together in the church. And you know what? She knew exactly what she was talking about! I usually take outside shots of brides and grooms only but I love how these turned out. Once again Miss Presley - thank you for your awesomeness! ;)
Now on to the reception.... Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Caleb & Presley Price!! :)
Beautiful cake... She got him good lol. These crack me up! :)
