I had the honor of photographing this sweet couple's wedding day last weekend! The couple decided to get married in their background and have a good old country wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect from the bride's gorgeous dress (just wait until you see the back!) to all the decorations. Everyone I worked with that day was so down to earth and sweet! You can tell from the pictures the bride and groom are just crazy about each other too! This was seriously a photographer's dream! Here are some highlights from their big day... :) CEREMONY VENUE: Couple's Residence (Fairfield, IL) RECEPTION VENUE: Elks Lodge (Fairfield, IL) HAIR: Tina Winka MAKEUP: Merle Norman Cosmetics of Fairfield CATERER: Ronnie Vaughan CAKE: Amy's Sweet Gallery (Fairfield, IL) DJ: Anatime Entertainment (Effingham, IL) Kris and I arrived at the bride and groom's residence around 2 PM to start photographing decorations and detail shots! We were amazed by how many cute ideas they had for their decorations - lots of rustic charm and simple elegance! The bride got ready for the day at her grandparents house and was finishing up the final touches while we were off admiring her decor. After final touches, we went to the property next door which has a cool old barn and lake with a dock. We used this location for all formal pictures. It gave us some amazing backgrounds! We started with pictures of Brittney by herself and some with her and her bridesmaids. Brittney was just glowing - I'm pretty sure she smiled ALL day! :) Oh and I just realized I put the picture of the back of her dress in here twice (oops!) but on that note, let's take a moment to admire the back of that dress! Brittney told me that was her favorite part of her dress, and I have to agree it was pretty incredible! MATRON OF HONOR: Misty Titzer BRIDESMAIDS: Maryellen Thomason, Sharanah Lipps & Suzanne Webb These ladies were all so easy to work with and that little flower girl was just a doll! Red hair and blue eyes - she is absolutely beautiful! :) Out to the dock for more bridesmaid pictures... The girls wanted to do an "attitude picture." I love how this turned out! I'm not usually good at posing people "randomly" in shots like this but luckily I had a great group of girls who knew what they exactly what they wanted lol. Brittney and Derrick decided they wanted to see each other before the ceremony began. The wedding party all left so they could have a moment to themselves for their first look! They are so sweet together! :) Afterwards, Brittney and the girls headed back to the house to cool down and hang out until the wedding began at 5. In the meantime, I got some pictures of the Derrick and the boys. As Kris and I would say, they were definitely "good ol' boys." They had a good time and cracked us up! BEST MAN: Ryan Webb GROOMSMEN: Dustin Wiggins, Russell Matthews & Josh Bateman The ceremony began at 5 that afternoon... "You may now kiss your bride!" Presenting Mr. & Mrs. Derrick Wiggins... :) After the ceremony and family formals, the whole wedding party headed back out to the barn for some more pictures! We got some of the whole group and more of the happy bride and groom! :) After pictures, we headed to the Elk Lodge for the couple's reception. The reception decorations were equally as gorgeous! After the meal, caterered by a family friend, came all the big events of the reception - cutting the cake, first dance, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, anniversary dance, dollar dance, bouqet toss and garter toss. Thank you so much Brittney & Derrick for asking me to capture your special day! It was truly an honor! I wish you two only the best as you begin this new adventure together! :) Wiggins Wedding Video by Kate Ragan Photography
